The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms with their No. 1 draft pick, Courtney Hawkins, according to a source familiar with the situation.

The team will announce the agreement, reported by MLB.com, at a news conference Monday.

Hawkins, 18, was the 13th overall pick in the June amateur draft.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound right fielder hit .437 with 11 home runs this season at Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He was offered a scholarship to play for Texas before coming to terms with the White Sox. Terms are not known.
