Joakim Noah will not travel with the Bulls to New York City and will not play during Wednesday night's game against the Knicks.
The Bulls center has missed the last five games due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot and there is a solid chance he will be out for a few more as the team continues to figure out the best course of action for treatment.
Noah is averaging 11 points and 12 rebounds on the year.
Earlier on Tuesday, Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro said the team had discussed sitting Noah for a few more games as he continued to be hampered by his injured left foot.
"His foot's a little bit sore," Del Negro said Tuesday morning. "So we'll probably be a little bit cautious and get him some rest, but I want to wait and see."
