The Chicago Bulls will be without Derrick Rose for the third consecutive game on Saturday. The NBA's reigning MVP will be sidelined against Philadelphia due to a groin injury.

Saturday's contest will mark the 13th game Rose has missed this season. Chicago is 8-4 without its star player on the season and 1-1 in Rose's absence during his most recent injury. C.J. Watson is expected to start in Rose's place.

Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau was unsure of Rose's status for Monday's game against the Magic. He labeled Rose's status as day-to-day.

Rose is averaging 22.8 points and eight assists a game for the first-place Bulls.
