CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng missed Saturday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a sore right hamstring.

Deng, averaging a team-high 17.4 points, tried to play through the injury Friday at Boston but scored a season-low three points on 1-of-6 shooting before aggravating the injury and exiting late in the third quarter.

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said Deng is day to day, and Deng is not scheduled for an MRI.

Deng did not formally address reporters but was moving around much better than he did on Friday night when he admitted he felt the hamstring "pull" and limped noticeably off the floor.

Second-year swingman Jimmy Butler started in Deng's place Saturday night and had 18 points and eight rebounds.

Memphis' Zach Randolph, who was kept out of Friday night's win over the Kings because of a strained back, was back in the lineup for the Grizzlies and put up 13 points and 19 rebounds.

The double-double was Randolph's league-leading 26th of the season.
