INDIANAPOLIS -- Chicago Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich missed Sunday night's game against the Indiana Pacers because of a sore right foot. Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau isn't clear on exactly when the injury, Hinrich's seventh different one of the season, occurred.

"He doesn't know [when it happened]," Thibodeau said. "He said he woke up and had soreness in one of his toes."

This was the 16th game Hinrich missed this season because of various injuries. He was seen walking around Banker's Life Fieldhouse in a walking boot. Hinrich, who appeared to be in good spirits, was asked if he was feeling better after playing 40 minutes in Saturday night's win over the Brooklyn Nets.

"This is an important stretch for us," Hinrich said. "We're shorthanded. Every night we just have to go out there with the mentality that it's going to be a battle. I think we've been playing some better basketball these last few games and we just got to keep it going. But I'm feeling better, playing some bigger minutes, just trying to take care of myself."

Hinrich's setback is the latest of a litany of injuries for the Bulls. Taj Gibson (sprained MCL) will likely be out at least another week. Richard Hamilton missed his third straight game because of a lower back injury. Luol Deng played but still may have to have several root canals next week because of an elbow he took at the end of Thursday night's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Derrick Rose continues to rehab his knee injury and it is unclear whether or not he will return this season.

Veteran point guard Nate Robinson was in the starting lineup as expected.
