EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern senior center Luka Mirkovic is questionable for the rest of the season because of an ankle injury, coach Bill Carmody said Thursday.
Mirkovic rolled his left ankle in practice in late January and has missed the team's past eight games. He last played against Minnesota on Jan. 22. He was in a walking boot before practice Thursday.
"I don't know," said Carmody of Mirkovic's status for the remainder of the season. "I talked to the trainer today, and he said [they're] doing what they can do."
Prior to the injury, Mirkovic started in 15 games and averaged 5.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists this season. He's started 80 career games.
