"If I said it was and I don't come back then it's not a winning situation for me," Campbell said after practice on Saturday. "It's a date the doctors and the trainers gave me from the beginning pretty much."
Campbell ruled himself out of Sunday's game two against the Nashville Predators but wouldn't comment on anything past the end of the weekend.
"Obviously you kind of have a date you strive for and you see what happens," Campbell said.
Since going down with a broken clavicle on March 14, Campbell had been presumed out for at least the first round of the postseason. That may no longer be the case. For the most part, he's progressing every day.
"You have your good days and bad days and today [Saturday] was a good day," Campbell said. "It was probably my hardest practice I had out there."
