Chicago isn't expected to make an official announcement until it can release a player to make room on the roster for Iwuh, who will likely carve a niche with the Bears as a four-phase special teams contributor.

A four-year veteran, Iwuh played 58 games in Jacksonville, starting in three before the club released him in April. In two starts at linebacker last season, Iwuh produced 17 tackles, including a game-high 12 in an Oct. 12 loss at the Seattle Seahawks. Iwuh has tallied 64 career tackles as a linebacker.
