The Chicago Bears announced their first round of cuts on Friday, with no surprises among the 14 players waived.

The club waived five veterans in receivers Andy Fantuz and Onrea Jones, linebacker Chris Johnson, guard Johan Asiata and fullback Eddie Williams.

The Bears also waived nine undrafted rookies: cornerbacks Antareis Bryan and Ryan Jones; linebackers Deron Minor and Tressor Baptiste; offensive tackle Josh Davis; center Alex Linnenkohl; receiver Jimmy Young; punter Spencer Lanning; and defensive end Jake Laptad.

The current roster stands at 66 players, which means the Bears still need to make 13 more cuts by the 5 p.m. Saturday deadline to reach the league's 53-man limit.
