Harris got the call at the safety spot opposite rookie Chris Conte, instead of Major Wright, who was inactive due to a hip injury he suffered before the Bears traveled to London following Thursday's practice. Wright already has missed seven games since being drafted by the Bears in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
The Bears listed Wright as probable on the official injury report.
Meanwhile, Bucs defensive tackle Gerald McCoy was inactive.
McCoy joined running back LeGarrette Blount on the inactive list for the second week in a row, having failed to recover from an ankle injury he sustained against San Francisco two weeks ago. Blount was already ruled out by coach Raheem Morris on Friday with a knee injury. Both missed last Sunday's victory over New Orleans as well.
Center Jeff Faine (biceps) also was out for the Bucs.
Other Bears' inactives included: Quarterback Nate Enderle, wide receiver Earl Bennett, defensive tackle Matt Toeaina, right tackle Gabe Carimi, defensive end Corey Wootton and defensive end Mario Addison.
Both Bennett and Carimi are expected to return after the bye week when the Bears take on Philadelphia on Nov. 7.
Jeff Dickerson covers the Bears for ESPNChicago.com and ESPN 1000. Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
