MacIntyre brilliant in Wolves' loss

ROCKFORD, Ill. -- Chicago Wolves goaltender Drew MacIntyre made 42 saves against the Rockford IceHogs, but it wasn't enough as the IceHogs beat the Wolves 1-0 Friday.

IceHogs center Bracken Kearns picked up a rebound and put the puck in the back of the net at the 7:31 mark of the third period for the game's only tally.

It was the third time in 10 starts MacIntyre has held an opponent to one goal, and the second time this season the Wolves have been shut out. The loss drops Chicago to 8-8-0-1 for the season. Rockford is 9-10-1-1.

Chicago starts a five-game homestand on at 7 p.m. Saturday against the Peoria Rivermen at the Allstate Arena.
