Chicago Wolves defenseman Chris Chelios was arrested for driving under the influence, speeding and improper lane usage on Dec. 28 in Westmont, Ill.
Chelios, 47, was the sole occupant of the pickup truck that was stopped, according to Westmont police. The truck was towed and Chelios was taken to the Westmont station, where he was charged, processed and he posted bond.
The Chicago native and former Blackhawks star is a four-time former U.S. Olympian and three-time Stanley Cup winner.
Chelios, who was stopped on Ogden Avenue in the area of Blackhawk Drive, has a Feb. 1 court date in Wheaton.
The Wolves declined to comment Wednesday and said Chelios is with the team in Canada for a game and can't be reached for comment. Chelios was one of the NHL's top defensemen in his 25 years in the league, including stints in Chicago and Detroit.
