Skyscraper goes red for Blackhawks

CHICAGO -- Willis Tower, the tallest skyscraper in the United States, will be illuminated with the color red the night of each Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup playoff game.

Starting with Game 1 against the Nashville Predators on Friday night, the two antennas on the roof of Willis Tower, which can be seen from up to four states, will be lit red in honor of the Blackhawks.

The top of its highest antenna is 1,730 feet above street level, making it the highest point in Illinois.

The Blackhawks are the second seed in the Western Conference, marking the first time in 13 years the club will be making consecutive Stanley Cup playoff appearances.
