Michal Rozsival back from injury
Rozsival last played against the Detroit Red Wings on March 16. He has one goal, six assists and a plus-four rating in 38 games this season.
Blackhawks defenseman Johnny Oduya and forward Michal Handzus did not travel with the team to Columbus. Oduya missed his second consecutive game with a lower-body injury. Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said Handzus, who was a healthy scratch against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday, was resting.
Both players are considered day to day.
Quenneville also said Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane skated Friday for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury against the St. Louis Blues on March 19. The Blackhawks previously announced Kane would not play the remainder of the regular season and is expected to return for the start of the playoffs. He is second on the team with 69 points.
"Very positive," Quenneville said of Kane's skate.
According to Quenneville, Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews is remaining active after suffering an upper-body injury on Sunday. Quenneville recently said Toews would not play the Blackhawks' final regular-season games and is expected to return at the beginning of the playoffs. He is third on the team with 68 points.
"He's doing everything he can right now," Quenneville said of Toews. "He's getting himself ready."
