CHICAGO -- Chicago is on the "radar" for the NHL All-Star Game, though no year has been selected, according to league commissioner Gary Bettman.

"(The Blackhawks) expressed interest in another All-Star Game, and the draft too, but more the All-Star Game," Bettman said Thursday.

The last time Chicago hosted the NHL All-Star Game was in 1991 at Chicago Stadium.

Bettman indicated Blackhawks CEO John McDonough is showing interest similar to what he had for the the Winter Classic, which Chicago hosted in 2009 against the Detroit Red Wings.

Bettman couldn't give a timetable for when Chicago might get the midseason game. This year the All-Star Game was held in Ottawa, where Bettman announced Columbus would be the site for the 2013 game.

"We don't generally go that far out (in scheduling), but (Chicago is) on the radar screen," he said.

The draft is held every June in a different NHL city but Bettman indicated Chicago would get an All-Star Game before a draft.
