CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews did not practice Tuesday morning with the team, and then sat out Tuesday night's 4-3 shootout win against the St. Louis Blues.

"He didn't skate today," coach Joel Quenneville said after practice. "He's here. He's getting treatments. It's all part of the process. Some days are better than others but he knows his body. We'll see how he is."

Toews has now missed 11 straight games with concussion-like symptoms. He has been skating both on his own and with the team for several days, but took Monday and Tuesday off. Quenneville would not call it a setback.

"Hopefully we'll get him back on the ice tomorrow (Wednesday) and things progress," Quenneville said.

Toews has 29 goals and 28 assists in 57 games this season.

Goaltender Ray Emery started his sixth straight game.
