Several NHL players, including Chicago Blackhawks Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp, are planning to participate in "Champs for Charity," a hockey game on Oct. 26 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill.
The game will feature players -- including former Hawks Adam Burish and Brian Campbell -- who have not signed overseas during the lockout, which began on Sept. 16 when the past collective bargaining agreement between the league and its players expired.
If the lockout is resolved first, the event will be canceled.
Proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana.
Details will be announced at a Wednesday news conference.
