CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa missed his second consecutive game Monday due to an upper-body injury.

Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw played Monday against the Los Angeles Kings despite missing Sunday's practice with the flu, coach Joel Quenneville said. Shaw sat out the team's morning skate at the United Center to further rest on Monday.

Hossa suffered an upper-body injury against the Colorado Avalanche on March 18 and has not played since then. He's missed one game and two practices due to the injury. He has 13 goals and 10 assists in 28 games this season.

Quenneville said Hossa was also doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Calgary Flames. Quenneville thought Hossa could be ready by the weekend to play.

"He'll be fine," Quenneville said. "We're not that far away from playing."

Michael Frolik skated in Hossa's place on the first line alongside Jonathan Toews and Brandon Saad during Monday's morning skate.
