10. Johnny "Red" Kerr, Tilden (Chicago), Class of 1950

Kerr didn't get into basketball until late in his high school career, but he made up for it over time. He starred at Illinois after high school. He was drafted No. 5 overall by the Syracuse Nationals in the 1954 draft. He went to three NBA All-Star Games and averaged 13.8 points and 11.2 rebounds over 12 seasons. He won a title with the Nationals in 1955.
