Thomas is considered one of the greatest point guards ever. A McDonald's All-American, Thomas starred at St. Joe's and lost in the state championship game in 1978. He won one NCAA title during his two seasons at Indiana. He was selected No. 2 overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 1981 draft and went to 12 All-Star Games, won two titles and averaged 19.2 points and 9.3 assists in his career. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000.
