8. Dan Issel, Batavia, Class of 1966

Issel starred at Batavia before playing for Adolph Rupp at Kentucky. He scored 2,138 points in his Kentucky career. He was drafted into the NBA, but he chose to play in the ABA. He played in six ABA All-Star Games and one later in the NBA. He also won an ABA title. He averaged 22.6 points and 9.1 rebounds during 15 professional seasons.
