One of eight of the original lighted pinwheels from the exploding scoreboard Bill Veeck installed at Comiskey Park one year after buying the club in 1959. Veeck, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1991, was recognized for changing the way fans experience games. The pinwheel on display is 6 feet in diameter and nearly a foot deep. It also was capable of holding 384 light bulbs.
