A quad injury in the first intra-squad game in February ruined his spring. He's still not ready and may not be until May. It's a blow because the Cubs need his power from the left side. It's not that he's an All-Star but he's the best the Cubs have at the hot corner -- if he can ever get healthy. For now Luis Valbuena will play third and play solid defense. But Valbuena's offense is suspect.
