The most vivid memory from the Chicago Bulls' 2012-13 season will be not what happened on the court, but what didn't happen. After undergoing ACL surgery on May 12, 2012, the prognosis was for Rose to return within 8-12 months. Eight months came and no Rose. Twelve months came and no Rose. Although he never shut the door on the possibility of coming back this season, even in the conference semifinals, he never played. He practiced five-on-five since Feb. 18, but he never felt comfortable enough to play.
