The Hawks become the seventh team in NHL history to come back from a 3-1 series deficit as they captured a 2-1 Game 7 win in overtime. It appeared they were going to win in regulation when Niklas Hjalmarsson scored with 1:49 left in regulation, but referee Stephen Walkom had blown the whistle seconds before the shot because of coincidental penalties. But Brent Seabrook sealed the win with an OT goal.
