A budding dynasty? The Blackhawks won their second Stanley Cup in four seasons. Patrick Kane won the Conn Smythe as the playoffs MVP and Joel Quenneville received an extension after the season. Other memorable moments included Derrick Rose sitting out the entire 2012-13 season after undergoing ACL surgery on May 12, 2012. The Cubs were able to unload Alfonso Soriano's contract on the Yankees, and oh yeah, Brian Urlacher retired after 13 seasons as the face of the Chicago Bears. The Bears also hired Marc Trestman as head coach in January.
