Lovie Smith made a great first impression on Bears fans when he announced that Priority 1 was beating the Packers. Scottie Pippen retired and Greg Maddux returned to the Cubs to win his 300th. Sammy Sosa became the Cubs' home run leader, but he left a bad taste in the mouths of Cubs fans when he left Wrigley early during his last game. Ozzie Guillen arrived on the South Side of town.
