Yeah Erik Kuselias!
Previously, Kuselias was host of ESPN's daily NASCAR news and information program NASCAR Now on ESPN2 during the 2008 NASCAR season when he was joined by reporters, crew members, drivers and former drivers, taking viewers through 30 minutes of highlights, opinion, debate, analysis, and the latest news from both on and off the track. Kuselias had served as host of ESPN Radio's nationally syndicated weekday-afternoon show The SportsBash (4-7 p.m. ET), as well as The NFL on ESPN Radio, aired Sunday afternoons during the NFL season. He joined ESPN Radio as weekday host in July 2003, and added NFL responsibilities in 2004. Kuselias, then a lawyer, came to ESPN with virtually no radio experience -- he was co-hosting a one-hour, once-a-week show on a small Connecticut radio station (WELI-AM) with his oldest brother when ESPN contacted them about an audition which led to them co-hosting the network's drive time program. Despite his career -- his firm had merged to become Goldblatt, Kuselias & Rashba of which he was managing partner -- Kuselias was seeking a more interesting vocation, and when his brother left the show to retain his business career, Kuselias continued as solo host of SportsBash, now heard on more than 200 stations. One of five children in a sports-oriented family, Kuselias was an All-State baseball player and quarterback at Hamden (Conn.) High, then the starting first baseman at Brown University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major -- organizational behavioral management and public policy -- in December 1991. Kuselias received his law degree from the University of Michigan, where he was a member of The Sports Law Society, and has nearly completed a Ph.D. at the Columbia University School of Journalism, focusing on journalism and law with a dissertation on the economics of Major League Baseball. Additionally, he is a member of Mensa, the world renowned organization of individuals with a high IQ.
