The 2007 Mascot Draft has taken place and Waddle & Silvy now have their teams. Listen to the action here.

Grabowski - Chicago Rush (6'3" (well built frame))

Notes: Trained under Da Coach. Favorite movies are Rudy and Remember the Titans. Strengths: Fantastic football IQ. Tremendous toughness from the hard-hitting AFL. An absolute football fanatic, growing up around Da Coach here in Chicago. Great physical ability as well. Extremely efficient body and hard working. Weaknesses: Could be tiring as the Rush are well into their championship defending season. Loves being with kids and may lack the maturity necessary to succeed in the pros.

Tommy Hawk - Chicago Blackhawks (6'4", 220 lbs.)

Notes: Born in the Lincoln Park Zoo. Was the star performer for the Barnum & Bailey Circus before heading to the Blackhawks. Strengths: Extremely agile and possesses tremendously quick feet. Gets fantastic separation and has tremendous after-the-catch ability. Very physical and lands great hits. Weaknesses: Not used to playing without a stick. Questionable ability to switch over to a new sport.

Jammer - Joliet Jackhammers

Notes: Born April, 2007 at D'Arcy Volkswagon in Joliet. Was once voted best looking mascot in the world. Strengths: Absolutely massive. Can serve as a bulky run stopper, or an overpowering tight end. Extremely physical and displays a tremendous amount of aggression at the point of attack. A complete animal on the field. Weaknesses: Physically unfit and lacks speed. His shaggy hair also provides holding opportunities for opposing players that often go uncalled.

Southpaw - Chicago White Sox

Notes: Debuted in the Major Leagues in June of 2004. Throws lefty, but bats from both sides of the plate. Trains in Arizona during the month of March every year. Serves as team mascot, but may soon be moved to the bullpen. Strengths: Championship-tested after a World Series win in 2005. Physically fit and an above-average athlete. Well-liked in the clubhouse. Weaknesses: Questionable health, as the entire White Sox team seems to be getting injured right now.

Ozzie the Cougar - Kane County Cougars (6'6", 220 lbs.)

Notes: Absolute physical beast. Bats righty, but throws lefty. Resides in Geneva, IL with the Kane County Cougars where he is signed for life. Strengths: Known for his speed, Ozzie the Cougar took 2nd place (behind Chester Cheetah by a whisker) in the mascot sprint championships. This cool cat is famous in mascot sports circles for his skill, strength and agility as well. In one mascot broom ball game, Ozzie not only scored with a slapshot from center ice, but also delivered the check of the night to another mascot who hasn't been the same since. Weaknesses: Lacks the ideal football IQ you would like from such a physical prospect. His extended period away from football also raises questions about his commitment to the game.

Sparky D. Dragon - University of Illinois at Chicago

Notes: The original Sparky mascot in Chicago. Hatched from an egg that was unearthed during the construction of the UIC Pavilion. Strengths: Has excellent size. Very fiery. Tremendous past success, going 5-0 in his last five mascot games. Also a lot of high-pressure, post-season experience most recently with the UIC baseball, women's tennis, women's gymnastics and soccer squads this year. Weaknesses: Extremely wiry frame that could use some bulk. Also, has been known to detest leaving the UIC campus and makes questionable his ability to find success on the road.

Skates - Chicago Wolves (6'2" (6'7" with ears up))

Notes: Has two and a half inch fangs and three inch claws. Born in Rosemont, Illinois in October of 1994. Extremely charitable, working with the Wolves' Adopt-a-Dog program and the team's Read to Succeed Program. Strengths: Great coach's player. Possess tremendous speed, running a four-three forty at the Allstate Arena, and fantastic paws that really grip onto the ball. Knows how to win, taking the Calder Cup with the Wolves on more than one occasion. Weaknesses: Some scouts say he lacks to the selfishness necessary to perform at the next level as the superstar others project him as.

Wilbur the Pig - Famous Dave's

Notes: Set of twins. One will play for each team. Was once saved by Fern and Charlotte from the chopping block. Now serves pork for the world's enjoyment. Strengths: Loved by all teammates. Extremely hard worker, willing to get dirty to get the job done. Weaknesses: Eats more than Tank Johnson during a forty five day jail stint.

Mayan Mango - Mayan Adventure Waterpark

Notes: Resides in Elmhurst. Likes to get wet and have a good time. Strengths: Great speed, Mayan Mango can really fly. Her Kobe Bryant-style wing flopping can really distract defenders. Very slippery, can be tough to tackle. Weaknesses: Sometimes characterized as a bad listener, constantly chirping.

Dibs the Blue Demon - DePaul University

Notes: Name is short for "Demon in (a) blue suit." Very religious. Strengths: Has decades of arena-filling experience. Devilish ball catching skills. Extremely tricky and tough to defend. Weaknesses: Gets down on himself very easily.

LU Wolf - Loyola University (pronounced Loo-Wolf) (6'2", 180 lbs.)

Notes: Due to Loyola not having a football team, decided to participate in Track and Cross Country. Was not allowed in the weight room. Strengths: Has a tall, thick, fury frame with long front legs, large paws. His long hind legs let him ride up on the defender quickly while looking effortless in his stride. His Cross Country training has given him exceptional stamina. Weaknesses: Has below average leaping ability for a football player, but above average ability for a mascot and for a wolf&Tends to lose sight of the ball over his head due to his big clunky mascot head. Tends to lose concentration working in a crowd as Wolves are notoriously A.D.D.
