Ricky Stenhouse Jr. captures pole

JOLIET, Ill. -- Reigning NASCAR Nationwide Series champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has won pole position for Sunday afternoon's race at Chicagoland Speedway.

Stenhouse turned a lap of 176.916 mph in qualifying on Sunday morning. Austin Dillon qualified second, followed by Sam Hornish Jr., Kyle Busch and Parker Kligerman.

Danica Patrick qualified 13th. Patrick was second-fastest in practice on Saturday.

The Sprint Cup Series is off this week.
