1. Bolingbrook(13-1)The The Raiders finished the season ranked No. 1 after defeating Loyola 21-17 in the Class 8A state championship. They'll return all-area quarterback Aaron Bailey next season in hopes of defending their title. (previously ranked No. 2)
2. Loyola(13-1)The Ramblers were affected by Saturday's nasty conditions and Bolingbrook's defense in the Class 8A state title game. They should be among the state's best again next season. (1)
3. Montini(12-2)The Broncos won their third consecutive state championship with their 70-45 win over Joliet Catholic in the Class 5A game. It was a memorable season for Montini. (4)
4. Wheaton Warrenville South(10-4) The Tigers' quest for a third consecutive state championship fell short in the Class 7A title game against Rockford Boylan. They'll be one of the favorites next season with a number of players returning. (3)
5. Prairie Ridge(13-1)The Wolves won their first state championship by defeating Peoria Richwoods in the Class 6A state title game. They were dominant nearly the entire season. (5)
6. Joliet Catholic(11-3)The Hilltoppers couldn't figure out a way to stop Montini's offense in the Class 5A state championship game. The scary thing is Ty Isaac returns next season for them. (6)
7. St. Rita(10-3)): The Mustangs lost in the Class 7A semifinals to Wheaton Warrenville South. (7)
8. Lake Zurich(10-3)The Bears lost to state champion Rockford Boylan in the Class 7A semifinals. (8)
9. Glenbard North(9-4)The Panthers' playoff run ended to Loyola in the Class 8A semifinals. (9)
10. Lincoln-Way East(10-1)The Griffins lost to Wheaton Warrenville South in the Class 7A second round. (10)
11. Glenbard West(10-1)The Hilltoppers lost to Lake Zurich in the Class 7A second round. (11)
12. Stevenson(9-3)The Patriots lost to Glenbard North in the Class 8A quarterfinals. (12)
13. Maine South(10-1)The Hawks lost to Stevenson in the Class 8A second round. (13)
14. Lemont(12-1)The Indians lost to Peoria Richwoods in the Class 6A semifinals. (14)
