On Sunday, November 12 ESPN Classic will present games from some of college football's greatest rivalries. Here's the schedule:
9 a.m. - Michigan Wolverines @ Notre Dame Fighting Irish (1990)
Rick Mirer, making his first college start, throws an 18-yard touchdown pass to Adrian Jarrell with 1:40 left, capping a fourth-quarter rally that gives top-ranked Notre Dame a 28-24 victory over No. 4 Michigan.
11 a.m. - Georgia Bulldogs @ Alabama Crimson Tide (1994)
Jay Barker throws for 396 yards and Michael Proctor kicks a 32-yard field goal with 72 seconds left, lifting No. 9 Alabama to a dramatic 29-28 Southeastern Conference victory over No. 23 Georgia.
1 p.m. - Ohio State Buckeyes @ Michigan Wolverines (1979)
The Buckeyes finish off a perfect 11-0 season with an 18-15 victory over the Wolverines in Ann Arbor. Ohio State scores the decisive points with 11:21 remaining in the game when Todd Bell recovers a blocked punt and runs it in for a touchdown.
3 p.m. - Alabama Crimson Tide @ Auburn Tigers (1995)
Fred Beasley's 22-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter proves to be the difference in 21st-ranked Auburn's 31-27 victory over Alabama. The Crimson Tide have four chances to win the game in the final minute from inside the 22-yard line, but QB Freddie Kitchens throws four straight incompletions and Auburn takes over with two seconds remaining.
7 p.m. - Click & Pick: Michigan @ Ohio State (1986)
No. 6 Michigan escapes with a 26-24 victory at No. 7 Ohio State when Matt Frantz of the Buckeyes misses a 45-yard field goal with under a minute to play. Jamie Morris runs for 210 yards for the Wolverines. The win sends the Wolverines to the Rose Bowl as Big Ten champions.
