Denard Robinson expects to return
Denard Robinson said Friday he expects to return to Michigan for his senior season despite previously submitting his name to the NFL draft advisory board, the Detroit News reported.
"I expect to be back, and that's it," Robinson said at a news conference for the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Robinson said he has not heard a response from the draft board.
"I was like, 'OK, put my name out there and see what happens and whatever happens, happens,'" Robinson said. "I thought it was a good idea, so I did it."
Robinson would like to pursue a career as a quarterback, rather than switching positions at the next level.
"That's why I'm trying to work on trying to be a better quarterback and a better passer," Robinson said. "Hopefully I can have the blessing to be in the NFL one day playing quarterback."
