Nebraska Cornhuskers defensive end Avery Moss did not accompany the team to the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl and won't play against Georgia as he deals with a "personal issue," Huskers coach Bo Pelini told reporters Friday.
As a redshirt freshman, Moss ranked third on the team with eight tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks this season.
Moss has a scheduled court date on Monday to answer public indecency charges from a December 2012 incident. He is accused of exposing himself to a convenience store worker in Lincoln.
Pelini also said that redshirt freshman linebacker Jared Afalava, freshman receiver Ishmail Jackson and sophomore receiver Richard Wynne did not make the trip because of undisclosed team rules violations.
Afalava started two games this season but didn't play in the final two contests.
Asked if the missing players would remain a part of the program, Pelini answered, "We'll see."
