Horn In Its Side
Jan. 4, 2006: The Trojans had two Heisman Trophy winners and a 34-game winning streak. Holding a 38-33 lead over Texas in the 2005 BCS title game, the Trojans were 2 yards and a first down away from winning a share of a third straight national championship. But USC tailback LenDale White was stuffed for only 1 yard on fourth down, turning the ball over to the Longhorns. Texas QB Vince Young scored on an 8-yard run with 19 seconds to go, giving UT a 41-38 victory, which squashed USC's three-peat attempt.
