Nov. 22, 1969: The No. 1 Buckeyes had won 22 straight games. Legendary Ohio State coach Woody Hayes would call this his best team. However, Michigan had inside dope. First-year head coach Bo Schembechler had played for and coached under Hayes. A year after Ohio State humiliated Michigan 50-14, the Wolverines spotted the Buckeyes a 6-0 lead and beat them 24-12. Late in his life, at a banquet in his honor, Hayes looked at Schembechler and bellowed, "You will never win a bigger game than that one!"
