Fournette's streak of 200-yard games ended at three, but the Heisman front-runner turned in another fine day. Fournette enters Week 7 with 148 more rushing yards than his closest FBS competitor (San Jose State's Tyler Ervin), and his per-game average of 204.4 is 46 yards better than No. 2 Dalvin Cook of Florida State.
Boykin moved up from No. 3 to No. 2 in Heisman Watch balloting after his attention-grabbing performance against Texas on Saturday. This week's opponent is Kansas State, which was gutted by Boykin on the ground (17 carries, 123 yards, 3 TD) in last season's 41-20 TCU win.
Elliott has been the consistent force on an Ohio State team that seems to elicit weekly questions -- he had 153 combined yards on 27 touches in the Maryland victory and scored his ninth and 10 TDs of the season. This week, Penn State (No. 26 against the run) will try to deny Elliott a 12th straight 100-yard rushing game.
Cook used the prime-time stage to reassert his Heisman candidacy, gutting Miami (FL) for 269 total yards and three touchdowns in a winning effort. Next up is Louisville, which allowed Cook to rush for 110 yards and two touchdowns on a mere nine carries on Oct. 30, 2014.
Utah moved to 5-0 on Saturday, and Booker was a major reason why. The one-time Washington State commit logged 267 total yards and scored twice in the Cal win, moving into the national top-10 in rushing yards (133 per game). Booker rushed for 146 yards against this week's opponent, Arizona State, last Nov. 1.
