Quarterback Adam Dingwell won't return to play for San Diego State following back surgery.

Dingwell started for the Aztecs through the second half of 2012 but lost the job in the second game of the 2013 season to Quinn Kaehler.

He had back surgery after the season.

"With the pain of his back surgery, he'd just as soon graduate and move on with the next stage of his life," SDSU coach Rocky Long said, according to U-T San Diego.

The Aztecs added three quarterbacks Wednesday on national signing day: Nick Bawden, Christian Chapman and Kameron Kelly.
