Wisconsin plans to inquire with the Big Ten about practicing this spring at Lambeau Field, athletic director Barry Alvarez told ESPN.com.
The Badgers open the 2016 season against LSU on Sept. 3 at Lambeau, home of the Green Bay Packers.
Alvarez said he visited Thursday with Packers CEO and president Mark Murphy about the possible arrangement and that they would move forward if the Big Ten granted approval.
Conference teams have moved spring practice off campus several times in the past.
Alvarez did not specify if the Badgers hoped to hold multiple practices -- or just one -- in Green Bay.
"It would be good team-building for our guys [to] get a chance to get on the field a get a feel for the place," Alvarez said.
The Badgers open spring practice March 12. Their spring game is set for April 23 at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.
The September game will mark Wisconsin's first at Lambeau Field, as well as the first college game at the venue since St. Norbert beat Fordham in 1983.
