Mark Dantonio deals with father's death
Michigan State Spartans coach Mark Dantonio returned to campus Monday following the death of his father, Justin, on Sunday in Zanesville, Ohio.

Mark Dantonio, who oversaw Monday's team practice, will travel to Zanesville on Wednesday for a visitation and stay for his father's funeral Thursday. He will return to Michigan State for Friday night's season opener against Youngstown State.
Justin Dantonio, a World War II veteran who served as a longtime educator at three Ohio high schools, was 86. Mark Dantonio went to Zanesville last Tuesday as his father underwent a medical procedure but returned to East Lansing shortly thereafter.
