Sharrif Floyd ineligible for opener
Florida Gators sophomore defensive end Sharrif Floyd was ruled ineligible for the Gators' season opener against Florida Atlantic, the school announced Saturday.
Floyd was announced in Florida's starting lineup Saturday, but didn't dress or warm up with his teammates before Saturday's game. As a freshman, Floyd played in all 13 games at defensive tackle for Florida, making two starts. He finished the season with 23 tackles, including 6.5 for loss. Floyd moved to defensive end during preseason camp.
