Nebraska will regain the services of one standout defender Saturday at Wyoming, while the status of another remains in doubt.
Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard will make his season debut for the Huskers against Wyoming, coach Bo Pelini said Thursday. Dennard has been sidelined for the first three games with an injury to his quad muscle. He sustained the injury midway through training camp and only returned to practice recently.
Dennard earned second-team All-Big 12 honors last season.
Defensive tackle Jared Crick is questionable for the Wyoming game, Pelini said. Crick got "dinged" late in last week's game against Washington and hasn't practiced this week. Pelini didn't say whether Crick suffered a concussion against the Huskies.
Crick, a second-team All-American in 2010, has recorded 14 tackles, including three for loss and a sack, in Nebraska's first three games.
