Arkansas' Marquel Wade ejected
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Arkansas receiver Marquel Wade was ejected Saturday from the Razorbacks' 31-28 win over Vanderbilt for running into Commodores punt returner Jonathan Krause in the third quarter.
Krause didn't have a chance to field the punt with 9:32 left in the third before Wade crashed into him, knocking him down. Krause lay on the field for several minutes before getting up and walking to the sideline.
Officials flagged the play immediately. Kenny Ladler picked up the ball and ran it back 24 yards for Vanderbilt, so the penalty was declined.
But officials announced Wade was ejected from the game. Vanderbilt was leading 21-17 at the time.
Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
