SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame center Braxston Cave will miss the remainder of the season and undergo foot surgery, coach Brian Kelly said at his Tuesday press conference.
Cave, a senior, left Saturday's 24-17 win at Wake Forest following the first play of the second quarter and did not return. Mike Golic Jr. will be the Irish's starting center, with Andrew Nuss backing him up.
Kelly also said wide receiver Theo Riddick will miss this Saturday's game against Maryland because of a hamstring injury. Robby Toma will replace him.
Linebacker Manti Te'o and defensive end Aaron Lynch both suffered ankle injuries Saturday but are expected to play this weekend.
