Florida releases deals for 3 coaches

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida is willing to pay out more than $2 million to get its offense back on track.

New offensive coordinator Brent Pease has a contract that will pay him $1.8 million through three years, including a $100,000 signing bonus and $100,000 longevity bonuses in 2013 and 2014. Pease, who has an annual salary of $490,000, also receives $10,000 annually from the school's Nike contract, as well as the use of a dealer car.

Pease's contract was one of three the university released Tuesday.

New offensive line coach Tim Davis has a one-year contract that will pay him $216,000 (including $10,000 from Nike). New strength and conditioning coordinator Jeff Dillman has a two-year contract that will pay him a total of $450,000 -- a $215,000 annual salary plus $10,000 annually from Nike. Each also has the use of a dealer car.

Pease is charged with fixing an offense that ranked 105th in total offense (328.7 yards per game) and 71st in scoring (25.5 points per game) in 2011 under Charlie Weis, who resigned in December to become the head coach at Kansas. Pease was Boise State's receivers coach from 2006 to 2010 before becoming the Broncos' offensive coordinator in 2011. Under his direction, Boise State finished tied for 10th in total offense (481.3 yards per game) and 11th in passing (309.4 yards per game).

Pease will make $600,000 in 2012, which makes him Florida's highest-paid assistant. Defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is scheduled to make $510,000 this season.
