HERSHEY, Pa. -- Former NFL star Franco Harris says the entire Penn State board of trustees should be replaced.

Harris, a Penn State graduate who played under late coach Joe Paterno, said the trustees failed to show leadership during the Jerry Sandusky child abuse scandal.

He called the decision to fire Paterno "unconscionable" and said it was made without all the facts.

At a meeting Friday, the board reiterated Paterno was fired because he failed to do more after learning of the alleged sex assault involving Sandusky, a former Penn State assistant coach.

Franco was overlooked during the meeting when he raised his hand to ask a question.

Harris said it was disrespectful and "very, very disturbing" that trustees failed to note Paterno's death at their first meeting since Paterno died in January at age 85.
