Michigan says it is painting the hashtag "#GOBLUE" in two places on the field for Saturday's annual spring football scrimmage.
The hashtag is a popular one for Michigan fans using Twitter, and the school is looking to raise its profile during the game, which will be broadcast on the Big Ten's television network.
Michigan said it is believed to be the second time a hashtag has been painted on a college football field. It noted that Mississippi State painted "#HAILSTATE" in an end zone during a game against Mississippi last fall.
