BELLEFONTE, Pa. -- A Pennsylvania judge will hear arguments next week from two school districts and a charity seeking to have defense subpoenas thrown out in the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse case.
Lawyers for the Mifflin County School District and the Keystone Central School District have asked Judge John Cleland to quash defense subpoenas seeking information about two alleged victims of the former Penn State assistant football coach. The districts cite federal and state laws that govern disclosure of school records.
The Second Mile, a charity for at-risk youths founded by Sandusky in 1977, is also seeking to quash a defense subpoena.
Cleland has scheduled a May 9 hearing on the motions.
Sandusky is awaiting a June trial on charges he sexually abused 10 boys over 15 years. He has denied the allegations.
