BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Former Ohio State and Alabama receiver Duron Carter has transferred to Florida Atlantic.
FAU athletic department spokeswoman Katrina McCormack confirmed that Carter practiced with the Owls on Saturday.
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel first reported Carter had enrolled at Florida Atlantic.
Carter, the son of former NFL star and current ESPN analyst Cris Carter and a Boca Raton native, played his freshman season in 2009 with Ohio State.
He left for academic reasons and played 2010 at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas. He transferred to Alabama last year but never became eligible to play.
Carter has not yet been cleared to play for FAU this season by the NCAA.
