Saginaw Valley St. suspends four
KOCHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Four Saginaw Valley State football players under investigation after a former player accused them of sexual abuse have been suspended for two games.
The university said Friday that Tevon Conrad, Kaleb Forr, Jack Raymond and Jesse Somsel can return Sept. 15. A fifth player, Nate Snyder, served a one-game suspension.
Spokesman J.J. Boehm says the suspensions are related to the investigation. None of the players has been charged and Saginaw County prosecutors are reviewing the case.
According to a police report, a freshman player accused the five of touching him with their genitals in the locker room after he declined requests to sing for the team Aug. 13. The players have denied the claim.
The Division II Cardinals play at Malone on Saturday and host Findlay on Sept. 15.
